The “Dyno Gyno,” the former Park Avenue gynecologist to the stars
who did jail time for insurance fraud, was celebrating this week after
helping a friend land a large sum in an Upper East Side heiress’ $8
million will.
Niels Lauersen, 74, the “Dyno Gyno,” who dated
Denise Rich and whose patients included
Celine Dion,
was a witness to the $8 million will of Robin Archer Moles, whose
grandfather founded Archer Daniels Midland. Moles died in 2009 and left
millions to her home nurse
Elsie McCarthy. But Moles’ nephew
Christopher Ljungkull
challenged the will, claiming Moles was a frail alcoholic and was made
to sign it. Dyno Gyno was convicted a decade ago for lying to insurance
companies about procedures he never performed. He was stripped of his
medical license by New York state, and when he got out of jail, Moles
paid him to feed her cats and walk McCarthy’s dog — but he also
introduced her to his lawyers. Ljungkull and McCarthy settled out of
court last year, we’re told, in a deal that still left the health aide
with a six-figure sum. And the other night, Dyno Gyno, McCarthy and her
team of lawyers celebrated their win with multiple toasts of expensive
wine at the Four Seasons restaurant. McCarthy’s attorney
Ira Turret
told us, “I cannot comment on her social life, but we were very
satisfied with the settlement, which recognized my client’s longtime
commitment to Robin Archer Moles.”
