Spanking the Monkey
Premed
student Ray Aibelli (Jeremy Davies) is forced to shirk a summer
internship to care for his injured mother (Alberta Watson). Ray soon
finds himself drawn to her disturbingly seductive womb -- despite their
shared DNA and his flirtations with an attractive high schooler (Carla
Gallo). David O. Russell directs this pitch-black comedy of considerable
errors, which won Independent Spirit Awards for Best First Feature and
Best First Screenplay.
